The Ambulatory Surgery Center of Stevens Point (ASC of SP) received the SPH Analytics National APEX Quality Award. Each year SPH Analytics recognizes their highest performing healthcare entities with the APEX Quality Award. APEX, defined as the highest or culminating point, is further defined by SPH Analytics as Attributes for Patient Excellence.

The APEX Quality award is awarded to those healthcare providers who consistently achieve the highest level of patient satisfaction and quality of care over a 12-month period. The APEX Quality Award winners are determined solely by feedback given by their patients. To achieve the award, the ASC had to consistently achieve excellent patient satisfaction scores over a sustained period of time. Dr. Alinea says ‘We are both privileged and pleased to have achieved this award”.

SPH Analytics is a leader in population health management, and administers patient satisfaction surveys to approximately 700 Ambulatory Surgical Centers across the nation. The Ambulatory Surgical Center of Stevens Point has been participating with this benchmarking firm for several years and has consistently maintained the top quality care necessary to be recognized as one of the highest performing healthcare facilities. Attaining this recognition has become incredibly competitive ranking the ASC in the top 7%.

Key performance indicators are used to measure patient satisfaction with the care they received from the time they present for surgery until they depart at discharge.
