The Ambulatory Surgical Center of Stevens Point’s plan for celebrating their 10 year anniversary includes recognizing a specialty or procedure per month. The month of October is focused on joint replacements.

The Ambulatory Surgical Center of Stevens Point has been serving the Stevens Point and surrounding communities for 10 years. This is a significant milestone for the independent multi-specialty surgical center which saw their first patient in August 2006.

A study released in June 2016 shows ASC’s currently reduce private health insurance spending by $38 billion each year. That study concludes that $5 billion of that savings goes directly to patients through lower deductibles and co-insurance payments.

Your surgeon looks you in the eye and says, “You need a joint replacement.” What goes through your mind next? Most people think of the pain, complications, and recovery. Well, this isn’t your grandmother’s knee replacement!

On January 8, 2015 ASC employees and Owners provided a charitable donation of $10,000 to Operation Bootstrap. The $10,000 charitable donation correlates with the 10,000 surgical cases since opening in 2006.

In November 2014, the surgical center performed their 10,000th case since opening it’s doors in August of 2006. “We are delighted to have reached this landmark.

The ASC is pleased to announce Dr. Todd Fairchild, M.D. will be providing back and neck surgery at the Surgical Center. Having a spine surgeon at our center means patients no longer have to drive out of the Stevens Point community for their surgical care. Dr.
